Music Committee

To Martin Luther, music was one of the greatest gifts of God. It provides an opportunity for the congregation to take an integral part in the worship service. It provides inspiration through rhythm, melody, harmony and words and forms an important avenue of human expression to enhance the spiritual experience. Music springs out of the very speech and soul of a person or a community.

It is the mission of the Music Committee to provide a nurturing environment for spiritual music through care of the organ, piano and other musical instruments, selection of competent and dedicated organist and director of music, encouragement of a choir or choirs and other musical performers, and music selection that complements the worship service and accents the message of the season.
